Pop and Gran Jan's for the Weekend

A couple of weekends ago, the boys and I headed up to Spartanburg to Mom and Dad's.  I had a wedding shower to go to on that Saturday night so we figured we would make it a weekend trip.  We left Eric home all alone so he could have a little break.  We had such a good time hanging out with mom and dad as we always do.  Saturday morning Pop got the boys up at 6:30 to go fishing.  The sun was going to rise at 7:10 so they needed to be out on the boat before then.  The boys were so excited especially Walker.  Walker truly loves to fish and could fish all day.  It goes well with his personality, quiet and laid back.  Henry on the other hand not so much.  He can't be quite or still and kinda thinks fishing is boring.  However he went along.  Pop had packed a cooler of juice boxes, honey buns, crackers, and other goodies.  They called this their fishing food.  They ended up being out there for about an hour but got too cold and came back in.  Later that day they went out for about 3 hours, didn't catch anything but had a blast anyways!  Hopefully soon they will catch something and Pop is going to let them clean the fish, and cook it for dinner.  This is one of the boys favorite things when they visit Pop and Gran Jan (Henry likes riding the golf cart and boat).  Great memories made here this morning for the boys and their Pop!

Excited or what?

Foster and Gran Jan had to come check out the fisherman

That night they cooked hot dogs by the fire pit, something else they do just about every time they go there.
