Six Flags with Granddaddy and Daddy

Usually around the 4th of July every year all 3 boys go spend a week with Grandma and Granddaddy.  This year was a little different.  Grandma had to have surgery on her knee so she wasn't healed in time for them to do their summer trip.  They usually go to Wild Adventures Theme park in Valdosta Georgia and spend a couple nights down there.  Then they do some things around there and head back here and spend a couple days at their house here.  So this year they were not able to do all of that.  They definitely made the most of it though.  Granddaddy took the week off of work and stayed here with Grandma.  Granddaddy and Eric took the big boys to Six Flags on Monday.  Foster spent the day with Grandma and I had the day off...Woohoo!  Then on Wednesday they spent the day at Grandma and Granddaddy's house and went to Funopolis, their neighborhood pool, and camped out for the night at their house.  Then on the 4th on Friday our whole family went to their house and spent the entire day with them.  It ended up being a great week for the boys to be able to spend some good quality time with them.  They all had a blast!!

June 29th 2014- Henry turns 8

This handsome thing is 8 years old!  I can't believe that my middle middle is 8.  Time sure does fly.  He is absolutely a precious child.  He truly is a very sweet and caring little boy.  He is still my little worrier and has some anxiety but we have seen some huge improvements over the last year.  Henry is very smart, and an extreme rule follower.  He doesn't want to ever do anything that might get him in trouble.  He doesn't like to get in trouble at all and hates to disappoint you.  He will be the first to say that he is sorry when he has done wrong.  However we still have to ask him if he needs any cheese with that "whine".  He loves to entertain us and does this multiple times a day.  He still likes to play acting I guess you would call it.  He loves going in the den by himself and jump around and fall on the ground.  He does this A LOT!  Sometimes I ask him what he is doing and it can be a multiple of things.  Sometimes it is playing football, lacrosse, sports, etc. He will tell you play by play if you dare ask him what he is doing.  Other times he is just acting and killing bad guys for example.  It truly varies.  He loves playing with friends and thinks that if a day goes by that he didn't get to play with someone then its been a horrible day.  Friends are his life at the moment!  Thankfully we live in a neighborhood with a ton of them.  He is truly one of the funniest kids I know.  He will say some of the funniest one liners.  He doesn't try to be funny but he truly is hilarious.  He is a very observant child and nothing will get by him.  I love to list all these things about him so I will have record of them in my book.  He has made our world brighter in the past 8 years and we can't wait to share many many more years with this kid!  Happy Birthday Henry!  We love you!!

Henry's 8th Birthday Party

Henry wanted a spend the night party and to just hang out in the neighborhood party.  We did just that!  We all went to the pool and had pizza delivered.  The kids had an absolute ball at the pool and at the neighborhood park.  The kids that came were his cousins and then Parker and David who live in the neighborhood that Walker and him play with all the time.  It was a great group of boys!  They had a blast playing outside and in the basement when we got back from the pool.  It was even more special that Pop and Gran Jan were here for the party too!  I can't believe that I didn't get one picture of them with Henry.  Pregnancy brain I guess.  Yeah, I was brave to have 5 kids spend the night at 37 weeks pregnant.  However I knew the kids I was dealing with and knew it would be great, and it was!  Happy Happy 8th Birthday Henry!!!

This kid....

Henry is a nut!  He is always entertaining us.  He made us all sit down and he went upstairs and came back down and started dancing in this get up.  I am not sure what he was and I don't even know that he knew what he was.  He truly beats to his own drum and we wouldn't change it for the world!!

Woodlands Camp

The boys were super excited about Woodlands this year.  This year was Walker's 3rd year at camp and Henry's first.  I will say I was completely worried about my Henry.  I have worried about sending him to camp since the day we signed him up.  He is just my worry wart of a child.  He likes to sleep with someone, needs to be reassured all the time, etc.  I knew at camp that he couldn't sleep with his brother and the counselors just wouldn't understand how much anxiety he really has.  Eric kept telling me that he would be ok.  I didn't believe him.  I almost thought about not going to drop them off because I was afraid it would be too hard for me to tell him bye.  Thankfully I was wrong.  He did amazingly well and I felt good leaving him.  It was a long week for me for sure!  I couldn't wait to get back to pick them both up on Friday.  Henry's first words to me were, "that was the best 4 days of my life".  I am so glad that he had such a wonderful time.  It is Walker's highlight of the year.  He looks forward to going to this camp every single year.  It is truly an amazing camp.  I have never seen anything like it!  They can't wait to go back next year.

Foster helping daddy put crib together

I can't believe we are putting this crib up again for the 4th time!  It never gets old.  I have pictures of all the boys helping put the crib together for each child.  It is just precious!

Eric's 39th Birthday- June 6th

My precious husband turned 39 on June 6th.  We snuck up on him when he got out of his car and sprayed him with silly string.  The boys started this years ago and it has kinda turned into a tradition for their Daddy's birthday.  They loved it!  My parents were in town and we surprised him with a fantastic steak dinner and yummy sides!  He had a great day!  We are so thankful that he is ours!  He truly is the best dad and husband in the world!! Happy Birthday!!
