Walker Cutting a Rug at his AR Party at School

We went to Walker's school last Friday for his AR party.  This is an accelerated reading party that they do every quarter.  The kids have been learning the "Ice Cream and Cake", and "Peanut Butter Jelly Time" dance during P.E. At the end of the AR party all of the kids, parents, and teachers all went down on the gym floor and the kids did the dance.  Eric and I were in complete Shock at Walker's performance.  If you know him, you know that this is a big deal!  He is usually so shy and just usually would stand there.  We were so pumped.  Needless to say, Walker has a little rhythm , and he is definitely coming out of his shell!  We love this kid and his dance moves!  Henry better watch out!

I have no words....

Boys going Golfing

This isn't the best picture ever, they were not really in the mood for a picture but I had to take one anyway.  Walker has started golf lessons on Thursday nights.  This was before his first lesson.  Eric ended up taking Henry as well, so that they two could go hit a few balls.  They had a great time and Eric said that Walker did Awesome!  He is taking lessons at Reunion again this year.

Just because he is in a Jon Jon

I took these pictures the other day, when it was hot outside, just because he was in a Jon Jon.  Jon  Jon's are my most favorite thing on little boys!  I have a gazillion of them that I can't wait for it to be warm enough all the time so he can wear them like everyday!

Family at Flag Football

A couple of Sunday's ago, Pop and Gran Jan drove down to watch Walker play.  They were having an urge to see the kids to they drove down that morning, met us at the game, and then hit the road back home.  They enjoyed seeing Walker play and of course seeing all of their grandkids.  Kim brought both her boys to see the game as well!  It was a fun family day!

Pooper Scooper 3000 Commercial by Walker Pangle

Inventor's Fair

This  morning at Walker's school, his class had an Inventor's Fair.  They have been learning about inventors.  His teacher assigned each student to come up with an invention that would make their lives easier.  Walker chose to invent a Pooper Scooper so that he wouldn't have to scoop our cat Georgia's poop anymore.  It was all his idea and he pretty much decided how he wanted to make it.  He had his dad's help of course.  It ended up being pretty awesome.  He invented a head piece that you have to wear and it reads your brainwaves and when you think about scooping the poop it will automatically do it for you.  Pretty impressive.       His teacher had an inventor's fair this morning for all of the parents to come and look at the inventions.  Each kid also had to do a commercial to advertise their product.  At the fair we got to watch all of the commercial's.  Eric and I were highly impressed with his teacher and the students for all of their hard work.  At the end of the fair each child stood behind their invention and the parents walked around to ask any questions that they had about the product.  If we liked the product and  wanted to "purchase" it we had to sign a sheet.  This was such a wonderful project for the kids to do.  Below is some pictures from the fair and I took a video of Walker's commercial that I will post in another post.

Henry Baseball Practice

Henry is playing baseball this Spring.  He is so excited!  His team is the Cubs.  There first game is at the end of the month.  We will see just how serious he takes it this season.  I was taking his pictures when he was getting ready to bat and his exact words to me were, " stop taking pictures of me, don't you see I am trying to play baseball you old lady".  He is a nut!

Can you believe it?

Yes, it is true, I have started a new journey...I am running.  I began my first run yesterday! I went last Thursday to Runner's Fit and talked to the guy there.  He picked out a pair of shoes that is made for my feet.  They feel so good.  If I am going to do this then I had to get a good pair of shoes.  Now I feel that I am committed!  I am doing a program called Couch to 5k.  You download it to your phone and it alternates running with walking.  It is a 30 minute program.  After 9 weeks of doing this I should be able to run 3 miles straight.  It is a gradual process!  I loved my first night of running and can't wait to do it again tomorrow.  It is 3 days a week for 9 weeks.  I am super excited.  There is a 5k here in the area on June 4th that I am going to sign up for.  My nine weeks would be up the end of May so this 5k fits in perfect!  I will keep you updated on my progress!

Our Weekend

Grandma and Granddaddy came up this weekend.  The weather was beautiful and we enjoyed being outside the majority of the time.  We played outside, went to the tennis courts, and played wii on Saturday.  On Sunday we went to church, then we headed out to the park for Walker's football game.  It was incredibly beautiful and we all enjoyed being together!  Grandma and Granddaddy got to love all of their grandson's up!

Granddaddy and boys breaking the wishbone from the Turkey from Thanksgiving.  Walker somehow remembered that they never did it over Thanksgiving and wanted them to bring it to our house this weekend.

Eric and Walker on the field...Eric is the Assistant Coach

Grandma and Granddaddy with the boys!

Walker got the respect medal.  Each game they give a medal out to a player.  Each week the coaches have something that they have to look for in the players.  For example, last week it was listening.  This week it was Respect.  Walker showed respect to the other teammates out on the field.  They are trying to teach the kids what is involved in Good Sportsmanship.  We were very proud of Walker for getting the medal!  He had a great game!
