Walker is 10!!! Happy Birthday

Can't believe that this baby is now 10.  On December 30th, Walker turned 10.  It has been a wonderful 10 years!  His personality today is the same it was when he was a baby.  He has always been very content, laid back, and quiet.  He has grown so much over the past 10 years.  He is a very smart kid and does extremely well in school.  He loves to play with friends now more than anything.  When he is not playing with friends he likes to play video games and watch TV.  He is playing Lacrosse and doing Karate.  This season he is really enjoying Lacrosse.  Walker we are so proud of the boy you have become.  We love you so much and can't wait to see what the years ahead have in store!

We actually were able to have his Birthday party on his actual Birthday this year.  He wanted a few friends/ cousins to come over to spend the night and go to Sky Zone.  That's exactly what we did.  They all had a blast.  There were lots of burps going on around this table.  They were chugging soda to make them burp.  I was of course grossed out but boys were just being boys.  Walker has also done a great job picking out friends.  All of these boys were so well behaved!  We had such a great night!

Walker's 10 year old stats:
 Weight- 92 1/2 lbs   89%
  Height- 57 3/4   87%

The big change this year was he gained 22 lbs in a year.  He is a big and growing boy!

Baby to Big Boy in Blink of eye

I honestly can't believe my BABY is no longer in a crib.  He stayed in his crib a lot longer than his other 2 brothers.  He was 3 years and 3 months when we moved him out.  My plans were to keep him in his crib as long as I could.  I really didn't care if he was in Kindergarten and still in his crib.  He had different plans unfortunately.  He had gotten to the point to where he hated his crib.  He would cry and say that he didn't like his crib anymore.  We tried everything we could to keep him in there.  Finally after a couple of months we decided that he was ready.  He has always been my child that loves to sleep.  He has always been a great napper as well.  I knew once I moved him out of crib my chances of a a good nap were probably going to be done.  Also our easy bedtime would turn into a much harder bedtime.  For those reasons and for the reason that he is our baby I didn't want to do it.  With all that said we moved him a couple days after Christmas.  We already had furniture laying around so it was a pretty easy room to adjust.  I still have some big boy decorating to do but other than that it is all good.  He loves his bed and his new "big boy" room.  I was right in my predictions, and we no longer take naps and bed time is not near as easy as it used to be.  However, I do love him walking into our room in middle of night to climb in our bed.  Eric and I love waking up to that sweet little face.  All of our boys have done this and we truly love it.  We cherish these times!  My baby isn't really a "baby" anymore but he will always be our baby!

Mistletoe Love

We all are in love with this kitty.  I sat a toilet paper roll beside him so you could see just how little he was.  Precious

Christmas Day

We had a wonderful Christmas!  The boys loved everything Santa brought and were so very excited.  It is so much fun having little one's at Christmas.  We went to Grandma and Granddaddy's for lunch and spent the afternoon there.  We had a yummy lunch and boys loved giving and receiving gifts with them.  Unfortunately I spent most of the day in bed.  I made myself stay up for the most important parts and then hit the sack.  Luckily no one else in my family got what I had!  Hopefully next Christmas will be a healthy one!

Christmas Eve Evening

Well we had a great and crazy Christmas Eve.  Needless to say it is one that we will not forget.  I was feeling awful all day but of course had to push through for my kiddo's.  Some other crazy things happened but it all worked out!  We relaxed and enjoyed each other in the morning and then headed over to the church for the afternoon.  After church Pam and Brad came over for our traditional Christmas Eve dinner, Salmon Stew.  After dinner we let the boys open up their gifts to each other and the gifts that we give them.  The best gift that they received all Christmas was a new kitten.  They were so surprised.  We put her in a box and they had to open it quickly.  They all couldn't believe it and fell in love with her immediately ( its a he but at the time we thought a she).  They wanted to name her something Christmas so they decided to name her after my childhood cat "Mistletoe".  They remember her and they immediately said that they wanted to name her that.  I will say, Mistletoe is the cutest kitten, most loving, and is just awesome with the boys.  We ended up having a great Christmas Eve after all despite the Crazy day!!
