Eric's 36th Birthday

Monday, June 6th, Eric turned 36. He spent his day golfing with friends, while we sat at home and came up with a crazy idea. Walker wanted to attack Daddy when he walked in from golf with silly string. We had a plan under attack. I hid in the playroom and both boys were upstairs looking over the balcony. They attacked him from the top and I from the bottom...there was no way to escape us! We laughed so hard and really got him good. He was so surprised! We had streamers decorating the front door, balloons on mailbox, silly string attack inside, and a delicious spice cake waiting inside. We had fun celebrating his birthday with him. Eric and I are leaving early Friday morning to head out to New Orleans for the weekend! We are so excited for a little short getaway in a cool town. Eric is going on business for the next week so we are going to enjoy ourselves this weekend! Happy Birthday to the best husband and father ever!!!!

5K/ Pool Fun

Last Saturday Martha Jane, Kim, and I ran a 5k. It was mine and Kim's first time running a 5k. Martha Jane has ran many races so she was a "pro". I had trained a little, Kim had trained a good bit. I trained good at first then got slack! Anyways we did very good at our first 5k. Kim and I both got 3rd place in our age group. We were shocked that we placed. Martha Jane should have gotten a medal in her age group but she stayed with Kim and I during the race. We did walk some but ran mostly. We are ready for another 5k!!!

Mom and Dad were in town for the weekend to work on the tree houses.  We enjoyed having them in town for the weekend.  Later in the day on Saturday we all went up to the pool to cool off and had pizza delivered for dinner.  It was a great Saturday!

Look who's moving here....

Grandma and Granddaddy have recently purchased a house here in our area. The economy is fantastic for buyers so they jumped on it. They are planning on moving in 4 years from Albany, Georgia once Brad retires. They closed on their house about a month ago and have been up here every weekend doing some work around the house. The boys have spent the night there and loved it, Eric and I loved it too! We are going to enjoy having a set of grandparents within 10 minutes! We are looking forward to the next 4 years to have them right down the road!

Little Bit

This is our "Little Bit". This has become his new nickname! It has stuck with all of us and I love hearing his brothers calling him "little bit". We love our little bit bit!
