Halloween Crafts/Party in Walker's Class

This picture cracks me up! On the left is Walker's teacher, Mrs Johnston. On the right is the principle
Mrs Johnstons table~ coloring pumpkins. You can see little Walker

My table~ making ghost necklaces and eating delicious cupcakes that I made

Little Henry doing his thing that he loves to do there. He loves to play with all the ninja turtles on the rug.

Walker's teacher asked me if I would come in last Friday to help with the class. Of course I said yes. The day before her assistant called me to let me know that Mrs Johnston had just won teacher of the year. She wanted to know if I could get something together for her. Henry and I ran out and got her some special things from the class. On Friday, Henry and I got to spend the morning and his teacher loved loved the gifts. I am just so thrilled that Walker has such a special teacher! Henry and I plan on being in there a lot this year!!

Henry's Halloween Party at School

This is my baby's first year in preschool. He was so excited that he got to wear his lion costume to school. The school actually called me as I was on my way there for the party to tell me that Henry had been crying for a while and they tried everything to calm him down. Nothing obviously worked. This is so not like my Henry. When I got there he continued crying for another 15 minutes. He wouldn't tell me what was wrong. It was very strange. Finally he stopped crying when it was his class turn to go on the hay ride. Once he calmed down I asked him why he was crying. I couldn't believe his response........."I was crying because I didn't want my paint to come off". He was talking about his whiskers and nose. I just laughed inside. It is amazing what little things can set off a child. I just thought that it was precious. I told him that all that crying would make the paint come off. He ended up having a blast at school and got a lot of candy! He is the cutest lion I have ever seen!

Fall is here

The view I see every morning as we eat breakfast! I love Fall!

Carving the Pumpkin

Writer's Tea 2009

Walker got an invitation sent home that he had been picked to read a story that he wrote at this quarter's writers tea. Each kindergarten teacher picks 2 students from their class a quarter to go to the Writer's Tea. We were so proud of Walker for getting picked. I was able to go and watch him read. It was such a proud moment for us! Walker is reading and writing so well. We are really impressed with his teacher and school this year. It is amazing what he has learned thus far and we are not even half way through the year! Walker is a pretty shy guy but did awesome when it was his turn to read his story! We are so proud of Walker and earning a spot in the Writer's Tea. The story he wrote was "Watch my pumpkin grow". Way to go Walker!!!!

Pumpkin Patch

Go Falcons, Go Braves

Little Carrots

We picked these carrots out of our garden a few weeks ago before the first frost. We couldn't wait to pull them up to see if we had anything or not. Well this is what we got. They are not the best looking carrots I have ever seen but they tasted pretty yummy. We are not sure why they are so short! Our garden was a fun experiment for the family this year.

Walker and Mama's Date

One of the days of Walker's fall break him and I had a little date day. It worked out perfect because Henry was in school. Walker wanted to go bowling and eat at the Waffle House. It was so refreshing for us both to do something just us. I love being with him one on one. As you can tell from previous posts that Henry is very outgoing, and gets alot of our attention because he demands it! Walker is total opposite. Walker is so quite and laid back! It was great for it to just be me and Walker for the day! I love this little boy with all of my heart! I think we both enjoyed the quietness too with out wild man. I wouldn't trade their personalities for this world!

More baseball pics of my little Rip!

Check out the pocket pulled out and his sleeves rolled up. He was insistent on truly looking like a rip during this game. Also check out the tattoo on his arm. Really?

Farties aka Smarties

Henry Baseball

Henry has really enjoyed playing baseball this fall! He looks forward to Saturday's so that he can go play a game!

henry boom boom pow

Henry loves this song! He always wants me to put on "boom boom". He gets on his scooter and goes around in circles. I am giving secrets away of me by posting this. Yes if you know me I do love hip hop! I love all types of music and I am not ashamed!

Disney World 2009

Day 1 of our trip~ flying to Disney, arriving at hotel, then off to Animal Kingdom
Boys looking out at the airplanes at Hartsfield Jackson. This was their first time flying!

The plane ride was awesome! The boys loved every minute of it! Walker said, "I wish we could just fly all day".

Arrived Safely in Orlando
The boys got super excited as we got close to the entrance of Disney World!

Got to the hotel to drop off bags and check it out then out the door we went to Animal Kingdom

We were really surprised with Henry on our first day. He loved the characters, which we thought that he was going to be terrified of. At this point we knew that we were in for a fantastic trip!

The Bats really amazed Eric and I.

Safari Ride

We all really enjoyed Animal Kingdom. A great way to start off our trip! The boys thought that it was great but they just had no idea how good it was going to get

Dinner at Whispering Pines
The boys got to race around the restaurant on little ponies.

Walker lost his 2nd tooth at dinner our first night!

Day 2~ Hollywood Studios

The boys thought they had died and gone to heaven when they saw the power rangers!

Henry getting his face painted
Darth Maul and Red Ranger

The boys loved loved Hollywood Studios! They both loved the power rangers and the honey I shrunk the kids park. Walker loved the star wars ride and Henry loved buzz and woody!

Day 3~ Magic Kingdom

Watching the parade
Henry watching the fireworks which he is extremely afraid of them. We came prepared with headphones and Eric's ipod playing a Dora show. He still was uneasy but thank goodness we were prepared for this it could have been worse!
Walker clapping at the end of the firework show! He loved it
Each night when we got back to the room these cute little creatures were hiding somewhere in the room. The boys thought they were so neat!

Day 4~ Hollywood Studios (round 2)

Mama has some power ranger moves too!
Jedi Training
This Jedi training made the whole trip worthwhile for little Walker. They do probably 6 shows a day and you stand and wait in hopes that your child will get picked to go up on stage to fight Darth Vader. The first day we stood for 2 shows and didn't get picked. The second time we went Eric and I took turns trying to get up front before the next show started. We both stood in the dead hot sun in hopes that little Walker would get picked. The 3rd time this day he finally got picked! Woo hoo! He loved every minute of it. Eric took a really cool video that I hope to put on the blog at some point. Unfortunately Henry and I missed it because I took him to see Buzz. Thank goodness Walker got picked. He even got a little diploma that he clinged to the rest of the trip. Now for his birthday party in December he says that he wants lead a jedi training session. How cute it that?

Boys waiting on mama to ride the Rockin Roller Coaster! I love some roller coasters! It was awesome!

We absolutely loved Hollywood studios. Obviously if we opted not to go to Epcot and let the boys pick where they wanted to go. They chose to go back to Hollywood again. We spent 2 days there and 2 days at Magic Kingdom and 1 day at Animal Kingdom. Eric and I really wanted to go to Epcot but figured the boys were a little to young at this point to take them. It is about the kids!

We finished up the day at dinner at Chef Mickey's. It was a awesome character meal. We highly recommend it. Again, Henry did exceptionally well with all the characters. He did so well that the whole time we were at Disney world we had to wait in line after line to get a picture with characters he didn't even know who they were. If it was a character he wanted a picture.

Day 5~ Magic Kingdom

Henry still passed out while we were all getting ready for our last and final day!

Superhero Walker

My little Tiger and Superhero
Henry's favorite ride Dumbo
Walker and Eric on Splash mountain. He loved it!
Dinner at Crystal Palace

Poor baby passed out
Magic Kingdom was awesome! Henry loved Dumbo, small world, and the race cars. Walker loved Pirates of the Caribbean and the Haunted House. Our last night it came a down pour. It didn't stop us though. Walker and I even rode Dumbo in the rain and loved every minute of it. We didn't care because it was our last night. We had such a magical time!
My big boy passed out when we got back to the room
Going back home

This trip was AWESOME! It is so much fun! The boys were at the perfect age for it! We can't wait to go back one day! Eric and I both felt like kids ourselves. It is such a magical place!
