Welcome Georgia!!!!

Well, the boys have been wanting an animal for quite some time now. Walker didn't really care as to what we got but Henry loves cats! He goes to our neighbors all the time to play with their cats and he loves JL's and Mac's. Eric and I finally got them one! We went to pick her up the Monday after Christmas. It was a huge surprise for the boys! They had no idea that we were getting them a cat! She was 12 weeks old when we got her and she has already been fixed! She is such a special addition to our family. We let them pick out the name. At first Walker wanted to name her "Pink Feather". I guess that he was just trying to think of something girly. However I tried to talk him out of that because I just thought that that would be too confusing for her. He couldn't think of anything all day and finally he asked me where we lived and I said Georgia and that is what he chose. I think that it is adorable and it just suits her. She is so much fun. She loves playing with the boys and then she will curl up in you lap and just love you! She really likes Walker. She always wants to snuggle up beside him. She is great and we are so excited that we now have an animal in our family.

Pop read lots of books on this trip!

Gran Jan loving her babies!

My 3 boys!

Gran Jan, Pop and the Dad's took the little ones on a nature walk

Eric and Walker ice skating, they were suppose to go tubing but there were too many people so they were not able to go. But the boys did enjoy ice skating!

Auntie Marta Jane playing in the hot tub with Walker and JL

Ellen getting ready to tear up the slopes! I only fell once and that was because my husband tried to snow board, well and he got up and ran into me! Seriously! At least I wasn't trying to be cool like my sister, who thought she was the best skier! She cracked me up. Everytime she would ski by me and say something like, "I'm going to win" and then she would fall! It was hilarious!

Walker playing a little ping pong in the basement! We spent most of our time down there. Mason and Kim brought their Wii and we had a ball bowling! I became slightly addicted to it! Can't wait to get one of our own!

My siblings and mom trying to be productive in the kitchen. I was the smart one and just sat back and took pics! Can't there be too many people in the kitchen? I thought so!

This pic was actually not taken in the mtns. It was taken on Christmas Day! I forgot to post it earlier but thought that it was too cute not to post!
This year for christmas my parents got us a trip to the mountains. We had a great time! We left the Friday after Christmas and then came home the following morning! The house was great! You felt like you were in Cracker Barrel! It was so cozy and had just everything that we needed. We spent alot of time just hanging out in the cabin. There were lots of games from the Wii, pool, ping pong, and sequence! One night mom and dad stayed back with the boys and the big kids all went skiing. Kim actually stayed in the lodge and enjoyed spending some time on the computer while Mason, Martha Jane, Eric, and I enjoyed the slopes! Mason, MJ, and I are all pretty equal skiers! Eric decided this year that he would try snow boarding. He was pretty much on his own but had a great time. Towards the end once he figured it out he joined us. That was so much fun, I wish that I could go ski more often! Anyways, the trip was awesome and I look forward to doing it again! Thanks mom and dad!!!!

Christmas Day

This picture was taking at my Grandma Walker's house on Christmas Day! We went there for lunch and then we headed over to my Meme's house for dinner. Busy Busy day! We enjoyed spending time with family ! I have a cute video that was taken at my Meme's house of Henry but I am having a hard time to get it to download. So I will have to publish it in another post.

Christmas Morning!

Walker's Santa

Henry's Santa

Just woke up waiting to go downstairs to see what Santa brought them!

What was Santa Thinking?

?????

????
Here are a few pictures from Christmas morning at our house. Santa thought the boys were pretty good this year! I think maybe Santa thought the parents were bad. Why in the world would he leave drums for a 5 and 2 year old, and light sabres that, well can be dangerous? I see a copay in our near future! Walker's favorite thing was the drums. Henry's favorite thing was his "neigh" book and of course Walker's drums. They loved everything that they got and it was the perfect morning! I love all of the chaos! We left the house at 10:30 to head to Spartanburg to spend Christmas Day with my family. I will have a separate post of that.

Christmas Eve

Walker singing at the Christmas Eve service at our church

Making Reindeer Food

Henry thought that we were feeding our reindeer, not Santa's. How cute is that?

A picture of the boys before they went to bed! Now this could be a cute picture right? Well it is, but Henry always opens his mouth for pictures! He is so silly! It is frustrating now but I know that one day when I look back I will laugh and say, "Well that is our crazy Henry".

We enjoyed Christmas Eve so much! We spent the day at home enjoying each other, and some neighbors came over to exchange gifts with the kids. It was such a great time to be at home and just be around all of the excitement of the boys! At 5 we went to our church for our Christmas Eve service, which was great! The preschoolers got to sing a few songs which was so cute! We came home and ate salmon stew which is a tradition that I bring to the family from our family. We also let the boys open up one gift from us. It is usually something small. As you can probably tell Walker got a blue power ranger costume which he had to put on immediately! Henry got a black power ranger. We had a great time making reindeer food! The boys thought that it was so much fun and I just love that they love this tradition that we have started! I just love christmas!

Stone Mountain Christmas

Maybe last minute but on December 23rd we finally made it to Stone Mountain for their Christmas lights. Posted in a earlier post we attempted to go earlier but got there and they were not letting anyone else in the park due to overcrowdedness. So the only other time we could go was 2 days before Christmas. It was so Magical! I'm not sure who had more fun Eric and I or the kids. We felt like kids ourselves. This place is so magical at Christmas time! It makes you love having children during this special time! They have so much to do and we just about did it all! They open with a christmas parade, you get to make your own cookies, visit Santa, watch the Polar Express 4D, ride a train around the park which stops for a little narration ( which is great), roast marshmellows, laser show, putt-putt, and my favorite the snow angel. They have more but that is all we did. My parents actually got the boys a year family pass to Stone Mountain for Christmas. They gave us our passes early this year so that we could go to the Christmas and get one more Christmas out of it next year. We are going to use this pass all the time, especially Kim and I and the boys. There is so much to do there year round. This year they actually just opened up snow tubing! We are going to try this out this very soon! They are going to have a place that you can make snowmen and such, and just play in the snow. How fun is that! I am super excited! They have so much to do as far as a petting zoo, paddle boats, skyrides, train rides, putt putt, etc....... The past 3 years my parents have been doing these yearly passes to different places. One year it was the Georgia Aquarium, INK a children't musseum and this year the Stone Mountain Passes. We have truly enjoyed having a year pass somewhere! Especially with me staying at home with the boys it gives us something fun to do! I love gifts that make memories or gifts that you will never forget and these for sure do just that!

Cousins Gift Exchange

We got John Lawrence a power ranger motorcycle set that comes with 3 power rangers. They also got Walker the same thing. This was all planned because we knew that both of them would love it, and we thought that they would think it was cool that they got the same thing. As you can tell we did a good job. They loved them!
Henry wishing that he would have gotten what they got! Kim, you know that it's true. But he is too young to be liking the power rangers! He loves them! I know that it is not a good thing, but hey he has a 5 year old brother! He doen't like toys his own age at all! Man, the second child grows up too fast! I just loved the look on his face in this picture!

John Lawrence and Mac came over to our house the week before Christmas so that the boys could exchange their gifts. We were going to be with them on Christmas, but thought that they would enjoy it better if we did it earlier because they were going to be overwhelmed on Christmas Day. The boys loved their gifts and being able to spend the evening together.
