Today I was upstairs cleaning and when I came downstairs Walker was sitting on the couch playing with his lap board thing that you write on (sorry I can not think of the name, but you know what I am talking about). Anyways, he wouldn't let me look at it until he was done. Once he showed it to me it only took me 2 seconds to read what he wrote. I had trouble reading the first word which is JL (John Lawrence) because he did his J backwards for some reason. The rest was a piece of cake. Can you figure it out? I will tell you at the end of the post. I was completely amazed! He is so smart and all he wants to do is to learn. I am so proud of him and I just hope that this eagerness to learn stays with him forever. By the way he is 4 and will be 5 in December. I know I am bragging about my son but I think that I am just so proud of him. I remember last year when he was in his 3 year old preschool class in his folder there was a worksheet that the kids were suppose to color. There was one streak of yellow crayon on the front and an arrow from the teacher on the bottom. Walker flipped the paper over and wrote 1-20 and the alphabet on the back. The teacher wrote, "This is amazing, he needs to be challenged more". We are just so proud of him! Unfortunatly, he does not get his brains from his mom. I have to give Eric credit for that! Hopefully his smartness will not get him in trouble at school! We will see. Sorry to brag but we are just so proud.

Arachnophobia?
I really wish these pictures were clearer but after I took them I noticed that I had the camera on the wrong setting. Anyways, last night we were outside grilling out and Walker found this spider. It was so cool! We or I watched this spider spin its web for about 30 minutes. I have never seen a spider spin its web. It was amazing. I usually would love to knock down a spider web and kill the spider but I couldn't dare hurt this web or spider. After seeing how big his web was and watching him spin the last part of it, I know that he put alot of work into it. Isn't it amazing what amuses a 28 year old? All I can say if you ever get the chance to watch a spider spin a web you may look at spiders differently!
River Walk
This past Monday the big boys were out of school for Fall Break. Kim and her boys came over to our house and we played outside all day long. In the afternoon we went on a walk down to the river in our neighborhood. It is a pretty cool little place! You can walk down and there is a pretty good little waterfall and some sandy area! A great place for a little picnic. Don't be suprised if my christmas card pictures are taken here at this neat little spot. ( the other child in this picture is our neighbor Ansley).
Digging for Metal and Diamonds
Walker and Ansley (neighbor's daughter) were in our back yard digging for metal and diamonds. They were getting rocks and pretending they were metal and diamonds. They were taking them to the porch and hosing them off so they could collect them. I love how kids use their imaginations! I read an article the other day in the paper talking about how the economy is hard for parents but good for the children. It was talking about how parents aren't going out to buy new video games, dvd's, new toys, etc. They were saying that kids are spending alot of time outside playing with rocks, sticks, and just playing outside! We are definitely doing that here in our neighborhood! The kids are really having a great time exploring outside!
Tyrone, SpiderMan, Ninja, Frog delivering a message!
These pictures were taken a couple of weeks ago when Mom and Dad were in town. We all had dinner at Mason and Kim's house. You probably thought we just celebrated Halloween early! However, all of the boys love dressing up in costumes all of the time! That night they all put on some of JL's and Mac's costumes and were playing in the back yard. They were so funny! They all kept running up to mom and delivering her a message and then they would run back in the yard. They had so much fun and we all had fun laughing at these idiots! Too cute!
Story Time at Library
Henry and Mac
Henry and Mac love to wear these hats! Thank goodness I have two or their would be a fight! Walker and John Lawrence are in school 4 mornings a week this year. Kim and I decided that one morning a week I would have Mac and one morning she would have Henry. I have Mac on Tueday mornings and we do the trade off at the big boys preschool. We have them the entire morning and we do the switch off when we pick up the big boys. It is really working out great. It gives us one morning a week to get things done and to just have our time without any kids. Next year they both will be in preschool while the big boys will be in Kindergarten! Yeah I know I can't even think about that now!

Braselton Fall Festival
Here are a few pics from a couple of weeks ago. Eric and I took the boys and our neighbor Kevin took his two girls, Olivia and Emma to a fall festival. It was fun for the kids and also fun for the adults people watching! Wow there are quite a few characters who attended the good ole' Braselton Fall festival! The boys really enjoyed riding the little ponies and Walker enjoyed getting his face painted. We came home and some of our neighbors and their kids came over to play and hang out. When it was time for the kids to unwind we put a movie on in our bedroom and believe it or not most of them fell asleep! They were so cute laying on my bed!

The boys and "Beppie"
This is the boys new favorite person! This is our neighbor Becky ("Beppie"). She is a college student here and lives with her mom Bonnie. They are the best neighbors. They love our boys so much and us too. Becky got her name "Beppie" from Henry. She comes over just about every day to see and play with them. It's like having a live in babysitter. She is awesome! Her mom Bonnie is the mom of the neighborhood. She literally brings us food over at least 4 nights a week. She loves to cook and everything she makes is to die for! She used to have her on catering business back in Conneticut. So you know the food is awesome! A couple of times the boys were playing in the back yard and they would walk in with a juice box. I would ask them where they got it and they would say "Beppie's" house. They walk in there and get whatever they want. It is a precious relationship and we hope that they stay here forever!
Circus
A couple of weeks ago Eric and I and the boys, and my brother and his boys all went to the circus. We really had a great time. I think the best part for Walker and JL were the snow cones and their light up toy that JL shared with the rest of the kids. Henry was pretty good, I think that he was just amazed! Mac was good as well but was more interested in walking between all of us than sitting! Too cute!

Little Mulberry Park
Walker playing soccer!
These are a few pictures of Walker's soccer game. He is playing his first time this year and loves it. The name of his team is "Crush". He is so excited that his daddy is his coach. Eric went to a parent meeting before the season and they were short on coaches this year. So, of course he volunteered to coach! He is having a great time and learning alot.
